INTRODUCTION
Project Save D Blind is a national revolutionary idea that is starting up in our State (Abia). This 4 months project campaign (against avoidable blindness with unprecedented help for the already blind) is meant to inspire a wild range of conversation about the blind underprivileged community and the challenges they face in our society.
According to research, blindness is the 2nd most prevalence disease in Africa, leaving 1.5 million people disabled in Nigeria with 512 of that population being children. It is expected that this health and wealth crusher will leave 500million people blind and desolate in Nigeria by 2025.
It is also heartbreaking to know that 85% of these blind people were avoidably blind. Thus we can reduce the rate of blindness by 85% if only we try.
These obvious reasons trigger our curiosity and have inspired us to brave the odds and dare a change. To desire amplifying their (the blind people) voices with ours, to try helping them live one more day by engaging them in a more humane way, to allow them see the beauty of humanity through our eyes and ultimately, to release the human compassion necessary to combat avoidable blindness.
OUR GOALS
In a more specific term, we hope to achieve the following goals within the 4 months campaign.

Provide them with more food supplies to aid their health and academics.
Help the adults acquire some special specific entrepreneurship skills.
Reach more than 300 persons with free eye care services
Host the first World Sight Day (WSD Abia2018 -11 Oct.) in South East to sensitize the society on how to treat and react to blind people.
