Introduction:
Greetings, my name is Michael Joseph. I am an esoteric researcher in what some would call the field of “alternative research”; that's the more dignified term at least. Others might call it “conspiracy theory” which suggests a much more stigmatic label. Love it or loathe it, I am Schism206 on YouTube and have a number of videos/discussions relating to esoteric Freemasonry, Qabalah, symbolism, astrology, numerology and Tarot. Broader topics also include religion, spirituality and analysis of culture & society through the esoteric lens. I’ve appeared on popular podcasts such as Greg Carlwood’s The Higherside Chats, Freeman Fly’s The Free Zone, Mike Williams’ The Sage of Quay Radio Hour and several others. For the most part I try to remain objective and level headed about all these matters, but I do get in a good rant from time to time. I also tend toward sarcasm and being a bit critical, but also allow for empathy, sensitivity and emotional understanding of others to keep a good balance between the twin pillars of mercy and severity––easier said than done. Oh, and one last bit: I have never been in a secret society and don't ever plan to be. All of the esoteric knowledge that I've required over the years has been simply from reading books and making my own observations.
My New Podcast
Speaking of podcasts, I’ve just started my own: The Proud 2 Be Profane Podcast. Currently I have two episodes under my belt with guests Isaac Weishaupt of Illuminati Watcher and Mark Devlin of the Good Vibrations Podcast and the Musical Truth book series; future guests include Greg Carlwood of THC and Jason Lindgren of Secrets of Saturn + The Crrow777 Podcast amongst others. Much more to come soon and I’ll post current and future episodes of the podcast on Steemit as they come. The "Profane" aspect is a deeply hidden esoteric secret only reserved for a select few who are initiated into the ways of the Square––f*ck yeah.
Why Steemit?
I’m giving Steemit a shot since many of the people in the alternative media and research community have been experiencing censorship and demonetization problems as of late with both YouTube and Facebook. Luckily, I have not had these issues; I’ve had my Facebook account deactivated for several years now (never once regretted it) and am fortunate enough to not have had any censorship issues on YouTube thus far. I’ve also never tried to monetize any of my videos so I can’t speak to that issue either, but some who have experienced these sorts of social media problems have recommended Steemit, so here I am. This is a bit of a pre-emptive move since I don’t see YouTube getting more tolerant anytime soon and my current podcast might be discussing some more sensitive topics in the near future. I’ve also been interested in creating a blog for some time but always debated in my head whether it would be really worth it. Steemit seems to some good incentives: people who care about freedom of speech; the minimizing of censorship; a growing community that you can have a personal stake in; the potential to make some Crypto-currency at very minimal risk or investment––not to mention eliminating the need to insert ridiculous amounts of ads. Ultimately I care more about content creation and the ability to post without censorship; I don't have a lot of great expectations for monetary gain, but I won't lie, it would be nice to get a little something extra for the effort. We'll see how it all pans out in the coming months.
My Research Work:
On YouTube I’m probably most known for my Occult Science Series which goes extensively into how science and religion are/were never really separate, despite that being a concept relentlessly pounded into our heads ever since we learned to read and write––“the separation of Church and State” is what we are constantly told. To those with a keen eye, this couldn’t be further from the truth; it really comes down to alchemical principles and doctrines of initiation and secrecy to hide things from the so-called “profane” masses. The Occult Science Series is a 90-video collection (averaging 25min per video) to help demonstrate this. It is fully sourced and packed with citations/resources from many different perspectives ranging from main stream, to esoteric, to university level research/history and even entertainment and tabloid news (much to my chagrin). The goal is to show everything as a whole, or as one; a concept deeply embedded into Occultism. My plan is to gradually post this series on Steemit with additional written commentary to summarize my main intentions for any given video to gain some added insight. Any revisions or necessary critique will also be included as all the videos are somewhere between 6-12 months old and might need an update or two.
Astrology:
I am also in the midst of becoming a professional astrologer. Currently I’m somewhere bordering between the intermediate and advanced level but learning more and more each day. Astrology gets a bad rap, and rightfully so at times. Before you go running for the hills I’d like to offer that there are a lot of misconceptions about its makeup, especially in more Modern, Esoteric or Evolutionary astrology. This is a discussion for another post and another time, but in the interim I just wanted to add in my 2 cents on my experience with it. I personally find astrology useful in the context of self-analysis and introspection; the methods are more psychological and sociological in nature (vs. predictive and fatalistic astrology). Astrology can also be useful in relating to others in a more effective manner and creating a better understanding of how you implement yourself into relationships, work and society at large; it also can be used to help maintain emotional balance within oneself. Simply put, it’s a systemic tool for mapping human consciousness in a way that is specifically tailored to the individual. While it’s certainly not a perfect system, it has a wealth of knowledge built into it to which can be useful and insightful; ultimately that’s up for you to decide in the end.
If nothing else, it is practical to understand astrology simply because it is a key factor in how the controlling system in the world operates. Astrological gnosis is the root foundation of esoteric doctrines such as Freemasonry, Theosophy and Hermeticism and once you understand some basic tenets and symbolism you will see just how deeply embedded it is into our society. If you still find astrology to be of superstition and of a feeble-minded nature, that’s ok. There’s plenty of content in the Occult Science series that does not require you to adhere to it; just know that esoteric societies do adhere to it and that’s the main difference in the importance of understanding it from a functional standpoint. In short, I am not here to convince you of its efficacy, but I will share how it has been useful in my life from time to time, and to go in depth with particular aspects of it, and also attempt to clear up some popular misconceptions about it in the process. You can always skip over those types of posts if you dislike astrology but find my other content provocative.
Natal Chart Readings:
If anyone is interested in readings you can contact me at this email: “mj.astrology@use.startmail.com” Sessions are recorded on Skype for an affordable and discounted rate of $30 per hour and all your info is completely private. Any questions just ask, but I'll have you know at this time I only do natal chart readings and venture into some basic transit information. Anything in astrology that is predictive, horary or electional is not my bag baby. Written reports can be requested, but 1v1 on Skype is my main focus at this time. I'm currently pretty booked for the month of February, but I might be able to squeeze you in before March depending on your flexibility, so feel free to inquire. I also have to take a break from February 28th-March 16th for some work obligations, but after that I will have plenty of time to do sessions with people.
Music:
I’ve also been a musician for a greater portion of my life, although my plans with it did not work out quite as I had hoped. Nevertheless, I’m still plugging away when I can and facing the final frontier for my creative endeavors: becoming a singer. I have a full album instrumentally recorded (that's been on the back-burner for several years) which is lacking vocals. Although I have a large amount of my time committed to my business (how I earn my living), girlfriend and the esoteric research, I’m hopeful that I’ll be able to complete the album and get this monkey off my back. You can hear samples of the album in the intro music to The Proud 2 Be Profane Podcast and also at the very end of the first Higherside Chats discussion I had with Greg Carlwood entitled: The Occult Religion of the Elite & Its Influence. I would love to add a few videos or blog posts in the future which include lessons and tutorials on guitar playing or other aspects of music, but there’s only so many hours in the day and I might be getting overly ambitious with that prospect. We shall see, but I really want to focus on some content which can improve life amongst us “conspiracy theorists” to get away from all of the obsession and darkness that can be so prominent in this community. Stay tuned is all I’ll say for now, but there's older videos of me (from many moons ago) playing guitar on my channel, both acoustic and electric. Here's a little sample: (Stairway will not be denied here...)
Conclusion:
I know that was a bit lengthy, but it pretty much covered all the bases––it's kind of how I am; I like to be thorough. I may or may not do an additional segment to this introduction that gets into some general philosophy and my basic approach to all of this esoteric research, we shall see. Regardless, I'll be putting up my podcasts very soon, and perhaps delve into the Occult Science once again to post the series with a fresher perspective. Thank you for your time and I'm hopeful that Steemit will turn into a platform that I will enjoy posting content on.
