Hello Steemit community! My name is Carter but you can just call me Psycho or PS. I'm probably like a lot of people on this website in that I LOVE cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology as well as social media. I heard about Steemit from a small but rapidly growing Youtuber named and immediately I went and signed up. Now, here I am with good reason.
Let's talk a bit about myself. I am an incoming college transfer student and next month I will be attending a large public University in Texas to study Computer Science. I'm a HUGE political junkie; my views fall more or less in line with that of Bernie Sanders, Kyle Kulinski of Secular Talk, David Pakman, and to a lesser extent Jimmy Dore. I am an active member of the Justice Democrats and Wolf-PAC as well as a member of my University's student government Freshman Council.
Obviously, I consider myself a secularist and more specifically a secular humanist. I am an avid atheist yet I am open to debate! I pride myself on my ability to set aside my preconceived notions in favor of forming more complex, informed opinions. I came from a background of Southern Baptists and currently reside within a 1-mile radius of 9 churches, including the one I used to attend as a child. As a result of living in the deep red bible belt, I have become well versed in dealing with opposing views and doing so respectfully.
I know there are 10 churches, one is out of the radius. Yes, the "spiritual center" is a church.
What is my goal in using this platform?
For a while now I've wanted to start some sort of blog or talk show where I could voice my opinions and feel somewhat productive. I value the retrieval aspect that social media provides so I may keep track of how my notions and ideas change throughout my life. I hope to improve my relatively adept writing skills by practicing journalism. Using Steemit as my platform gives me a direct form of incentive to actively post content and grow like I intend.
Pseudo-Productivity
Like I said before I've been looking for an outlet for a while. I struggle with productivity and procrastination and I'm hoping that starting a blog may be a good way to fight my demons, and channel some sincere productivity out of a fun task. Instead of sitting around in my free time between work and school I will have something to do! I've never been much of a content creator because the task always seemed so daunting and pointless, but I've realized the only way to challenge those notions is to put myself out there. Here's to pseudo-productivity!
Are you ready to start a new chapter with me?

I hope to remain anonymous as long as possible, though I am driven by a desire for people to hear what I have to say so I may be presented with a personal challenge against my own ego. The more I post, the better you will be able to get a feel for who I am, and I hope people like me enough to stick around! Next month I enter a new chapter of my life with my first year at University and I look forward to creating lots of cool content as I experience an entirely new environment. Thank you for reading my introduction. I hope you have decided to take this journey with me and give me a follow!
With all my love and regard,
Psycho
