Good morning everyone!!! I'm very excited to be here. My husband joined steemit a few weeks ago and he encouraged me to get on here. I was very curious so I did. From what I've seen this is the place to be, a land of information and block chain and cryptos. After a week of lurking around I'm writing my first post. So....
Please allow me to introducemyself!
My name is Gina and I'm a child of the 80's. The golden era of big hair, broad shoulders and DAY GLOW! Sadly, I was too young to have the big hair. Let's see.... the year I was born Madonna was a virgin, George Michael was never gonna dance again, Deloreans were time traveling and 7 kids were having the most fantastic treasure hunting adventure in Astoria, OR.
Fast forward to now...
For the longest time I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. I had all these fantastical ideas like I would study theology or cosmoIogy... but I was never realistic (not good at theoretical physics) or set any goals for myself. Always LOST. However, I just got into a Medical Lab Tech program that I will start next month. I realized a few years ago that I love science and this seems like a career path that is perfect for me. Biology and Anatomy are so interesting and exciting to learn about. The things that happen on a cellular level are just mind blowing!
Another thing about me is books are my life. I love reading reading a good book and learning new things. Growing up I always wanted a laid back job where there's a lot of down time so I can read or that I would become rich so I can just read all day. For the last few years my husband and I have been fortunate enough to live off of books. We have an online store and treasure hunt all day, searching for book Gold.
Some of my hobbies are watching great movies, reading (in case that isn't clear), poker (TH), hanging out with my sisters and nephew, and taking great LOMO photos. My awesome babe got me a Diana Mini toy camera last year and I've been trying to find my EYE. Honestly though, with this camera everything looks amazing. The photos come out with this dreamy vintage look.
Well guys, I feel like I've rambled enough for now. Stay tuned for my next post about why I'm here. I'll also let you know about the kinds of things I want to learn from you guys and the kind of stuff I want to post.
P.S. Don't be shy to comment. I would love to get feedback or just to get a HELLO.
