Hello everyone, nice to meet you!
I was told to write an introductory post so here we go: I guess I should start with the basics: My name is Lara, I'm 32 years old and I live in beautiful Stuttgart, Germany. Up until recently I studied art history and I am now trying to make my way towards a PhD. Aside from that I work as a freelance art historian and give guided tours at local museums here in Stuttgart.
Some other things about myself, which will probably pop up in my blog here from time to time:
I am a passionate reader
Honestly, give me a book and some space and I am happy, nothing else needed. At the beginning of the year I set myself the challenge to read 50 books in 2018. My most favorite genres are probably science fiction and utopian/dystopian literature and I recently found a passion for (Victorian) adventure. I love plants
Yep, I do. I started to bring home some plants last year when I finally had the time to decorate after some interior redesigning and it kind of got out of hand. If you are interested in plants, come and visit my Instagram, which I basically only use to shamelessly show off my collection.
I am a bit of a foodie ...
... when I have the time. Which also means, that I love to cook (or have someone else cook for me). Recently I got more and more interested in vegan alternatives to 'regular' food but that is a story for another time...
I enjoy watching all kind of movies and series
Netflix was a stroke of genius in my book. Here - as with books - I am mostly interested in SciFi but I would add Fantasy and in some really rare cases Romantic Comedies to my list of favorites.
I recently got into yoga
So, if I ever seem to fall off the map I probably broke my neck trying to teach myself yoga, as I am too damn proud to get some help learning it right.
I think this should be enough for the time being. I have not yet figured out what to do with this account now that it has been approved. If you have any idea based on what you already learned about myself, let me know! I am new here but I would love to get involved in this community, so I am open and eager for suggestions.
