Hey everyone,
my name is Nico and this is my first post I can share with you. A good friend of mine told me about this platform and how much better the social interaction is on here compared with Facebook & co. So here I am, happy to share my stories and experience in life, and happy to become a part of the Steemit community! I hope you can forgive me my mistakes with the English language, I just learned it in school, but English is such a big chance to talk to nearly anybody on this plante, thats why I want to try to do this in my second language.
On the picture I've been on my last journey through Eastern Europe. I standing in front of the parliament in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. It was one of the greatest scenes I was allowed to see on this trip.
Traveling is for me the chance of breaking out of my small life in Germany and make experiences, I couldn't do in my small hometown. To see different people and different cultures always make me happy and show me, how much we can learn from each other.
My first big trip was to Australia after finishing school, where I stayed more than 1.5 years to do work and travel. It was the most important experience in my life. Before I didn't know what it meant, to be independent in life. And then I had to stand on my own feet, and I did it. It sounds like a cliche, but I left as a boy, and came back as a men.
Me in the Jungle in Cairns, North Australia.
The desert in the Middle of Australia.
And the mandatory Koala post :P
After coming back to Germany, many told me it will be hard to start studying and life the normal life. But in my case it was different, I was dreaming about studying Chemistry since I was 16, when I had to choose the subject I want to do my degree in school. The chance to get a deeper insight into the nature and how the world around us is working, kept me motivated through my studies till today.
It was always a funny time, here some of my best shots:
After 4 Semesters I started to study Law beside Chemistry. I know it sounds crazy, and everyone told me, that its impossible to do two completely different subjects at the same time. But fortunately I didn't listen. Now I can tell you, it is possible to do it. Although it was hard, everything is possible if you belief in yourself and if you want to see your dreams become true.
Law is the exact opposite of Chemistry, and thats what I love. Whenever I feel exhausted standing in the lab or drawing chemical structures, I knew, that this is not all I am doing. In Chemistry I see the chance to understand the nature, in Law I see the chance to understand the society. The laws in our country shape the people living in it, and for me its extremely important to understand the rules we have here in Germany.
After all I don't know where the journey is going to lead. I just know Chemistry and Law are the subjects I love, in which job I am going to end, is a thing of the future. For the moment I want to focus on myself, after finally getting my Bachelor degree in Chemistry.
Important steps have to be made: Which Master to study, should I switch to a new city or even into another country? To find answers to these questions and what where I want to see myself in the future, I going to walk the Camino, one of the oldest pilgrim routes, 800 km by foot through Spain. If you want to follow me on my journey, I start in 4 days, and I will do a daily update on my tour. So stay healthy and happy, because thats what life is about.
See ya!
Nico
