When I was little near the house where I spent my childhood there was a sign in one of the bus stops that read "The teacher is the 1st citizen of the republic" and it has been more than 10 years and even that phrase is still valid in my country. memory
Today is celebrated the day of the university professor, that teacher who is responsible for promoting the academy, training professionals for the development of the country but above all to improve the human quality of the students. I know that educating in this stage that we have as a nation is a challenge as much as for the students but more from the point of view of the teacher.
Today in Venezuela a professor of a public university earns below the integral salary (a full-time professor), with what he earns monthly he can not afford his basic needs due to the high cost of living that there is in the country thanks to the hyperinflation (the highest in the world).
Educating is not easy, but it is more difficult to teach. That the student falls in love with a subject because of how the teacher explains it. It is at that moment when we realize that many take this work for "love of art" and not for the economic.
My respects to all those who are excellent human beings and today I can not say teacher if not friend, also to those who do not forget that they passed by the desks, my ovation to those who are responsible for educating generations so that every day the country can overcome its difficulties.
