Like you, I too realised long ago that working a J.O.B was not for me. Unlike you 'I bottled' it and trod the road well travelled and did what those around me were doing. To see the life you have fashioned is hugely inspiring, thank you for being a beacon for others who wish to stun the status quo of just how a life is meant to be lived. I look forward immensely to hearing more about now just your upcoming travels BUT also of the journey that has brought you to today.

I too crave the idea of being 'globally feral' rather than 'locally feral' as am today, but I have always enjoyed living vicariously through the tales of others in communities such as the one I find myself utterly entrenced in here.

You may gather ((or not)) from the 'cut of my jib' ((a bloody bizarre phrase if ever I stumbled across one, right?)) that I am an English dude too, a Northerner no less ((who can write!!! I know!)) Sadly I do not have a whippet, flat cap nor a great love of steak and kidney pies... My vegetarian status has seen me shunned by the local populace!

Consider yourself well met my friend, I am indebted to the stunningly awesome dude Hive account@galenkp for bringing your inaugural post to my attention, this was a massively enjoyable, fabulously written intro post... It's a damn shame you ain't a travel writer, you should perhaps consider it! 😁

This intro left me with many, many questions about so many aspects of your life I would love to know more about BUT as my ridiculous verbosity often leads to ostracization by my peers... I figured I should quit while I am only mildly behind.

Although if you did happen to find the time in your upcoming posts I would be eager to know your top tips on becoming a full time writer. Considering the empowering changes you have made in your own life and achievement of that epic goal you set for 40 and achieved no less I would be delighted if you should ever find the time to share a few of your 'living your best life' tips in the self improvement community.

Last, but absolutely not least, I believe in kindness, inclusivity, and patience — and I get exasperated by those who try and compartmentalise us, split people into “us and them”, rather than revel in the whole glorious mess of humanity. Too often, kindness and peace are mistaken for weakness which, as any decent martial arts devotee will tell you, is certainly not the case. I believe in hope — but also keep testing and honing my wilderness bushcraft skills, just in case.

I often write on aspects of identity politics and how focussing on the myriad of things that have the potential to unite us rather than divide us would be a step that, as a species we may consider adopting, I gotta tell ya Alex these pretty awesome sentiments resonated with me immensely.

I just know I'm gonna like you Alex! ((perhaps even more than the sound of my own voice!!!)) 😁
