Ok so hello Steemit! Wow I finally did it! I killed 2 birds with one stone! Well, 3 actually: number 1- I woke up early (and stayed up!). Number 2- I joined Steemit. Number 3- I am writing! Where are my manners?! Allow me to introduce myself: I'm M from the U.K., the supposedly "Great" Britain. I'm twenty-something and life isn't exactly going according to plan! I learned about steemit late last year and I'm not 100% sure how I'm going to use it but just wanted to get myself out there for now. I've been to uni- in fact I went to some of the 'best' uni's in the U.K., I got the letters after my name, but over the past year or so I have started to learn a bit about the real world and it's not all good! Some of the things I'm talking about include: unnecessary abject poverty; deep government corruption in the West; unjust and immoral banking systems; general worldwide dissent into madness/evil/oblivion. On the flip side, the good thing I'm noticing is that there are people out there who genuinely care about people. This fills me with hope.
Ok so that's all I can think to write right now. I hope to learn a lot from all you wise Steemians/Steemers/Steemites (which word is it?!) and maybe I can pass on some words of wisdom every now and again! I'm also hoping to increase my love of, and hope in humanity, and just to be a part of something special.
I couldn't find a decent picture of myself (plus I'm not photogenic, plus I hate having my picture taken!) so instead I've just posted an interesting photo I took last week. It comes under the category of 'interesting things I've begun to notice on a regular basis'.
