Hello all you beautiful souls! My name is Jess and I’m an avid writer and creator that’s eager to start sharing and connecting on this platform! I’m just your typical dorky, offbeat nerd with a passion for beauty, people and Jesus. Oh, and Star Wars. Very few things beat Star Wars.
One of my main dreams in life is to be a storyteller who shares meaningful and deep narratives that people can connect with, as well as make them think. I’m a firm believer that every single human being on this planet has immeasurable worth, no matter what they believe, where they come from or even what mistakes they’ve made. In a world where this notion is often overlooked or simply tossed aside, it’s something that people need to hear and know.
In terms of me personally, I’m a very gung-ho, passionate person. I’m known to run a bit hot sometimes (especially when playing Catan), but I take everything I do seriously and enthusiastically, especially all my relationships in life. I love movies (Bill and Ted is one of my favorites) and I’ll admit I’m a bit of a hipster. Not to the extent that I purposely go out of my way to like things that aren’t mainstream, but the things I like just happen to be very non-mainstream. I like what I like, I am who I am. I’m not one to care about living up to people’s expectations.
I look forward to connecting with the Steemit community and learning from you all! I’m not quite sure exactly what I’m hoping to put out on here, and I don’t entirely know what I’m doing, but I figured I’d go ahead and give it a try, after all:
