Hey there Steemians, Steemers, Steemites!
My name is Robin and in my daily life I am a User Experience / User Interface (UX/UI) designer. Besides loving my work to the fullest extend, I love traveling and playing the occasion games and trading in cryptocurrencies.
Two years ago I started diving into cryptocurrencies and blockchain, and learned all about it. I was and still am fascinated about it. Along the way I stumbled upon Steemit and was a bit sceptic about it so at the time I ignored it and just went on trading. Nothing wrong with that of course! Yet when I researched stuff the past months, I stumbled upon quite a few Steemit blogposts with actually relevant and good information after which I used it as a research ground. But why create an account if I only do research? Well, I just wanted to read and now post.
Time went by and I thought by myself that I was quite selfish. Im just ‘taking (reading)’ and not giving back. Obviously giving back can be in more than one way. Liking a post (even though my vote isn’t worth alot), sharing knowledge myself about different kinds of topics or other things. So… After a while, here I am!
My life quote is “Work smarter, not harder” which is in line with my work. I have to dive deep into problems and get to the root of it. I can work hard to get to the bottom, or work smart and keep asking why until I get to the bottom of it and perhaps find a different, more urgent problem that needs solving.
I want to do this at Steemit as well. I want people to work smarter, not harder. And I mean that in a way that I want to share my knowledge in one place (smarter) and don’t find information scatter all over the place that takes ages to find (harder).
Anyway, a little bit about myself! I’m a morning person. I get up at 06:00 and I’m at work at 07:00, just so I have some silence before everyone starts walking in at 09:00. That are 2 hours of complete focus! Obviously I have to be a coffee lover, it boosts my energy and focus a lot. I enjoy good food, home cooked or in a restaurant and I love to explore new things (even though I have like 50+ allergies (im really not kidding)). And to top it off, I like gaming. I started gaming when I was 10 years old and while I was addicted at the age of 15 to 18, I game casually now after being cold turkey for 5 years.
But to round things up, and not make it a huge post… I’m really curious on what I can mean for the community and what it can mean for me. I love to discuss stuff with you guys and create meaningful conversations.
What are you excited about? What drives you in the morning? Perhaps you are a designer. In that case, let’s share ideas!
Cheers!
Robin
