Hi Steemit,
The name is Taimour, 38 years old and half of that younger at heart, dad of two great kids, and husband to a lovely wife.
And I'm an IT professional ...
Going to the Dry Cleaner!
Going to the dry-cleaners is a bit like having the laundry elves visit my house. I drop off a white shirt with a coffee stain on the left side and when I come back the next day it looks brand new. And for me, that's all that matters. In between when I dropped off my shirt and when I picked it back up, however, those little elves were very busy getting me the results I wanted.
None of that really matters to me, though. I don't want to hear about how they had to sort the laundry, treat the stains, bag the garments or iron and starch the final product. All that matters to me is that my shirt is now clean.
For IT professionals like me, dry cleaning is surprisingly applicable. Just like the dry-cleaning customer doesn't care how their shirt gets cleaned, businesses don't care how their IT services are running.
IT services covers a very broad range of actions. As an IT professional I probably have to keep up with monitoring, capacity planning, patch management, vulnerability management, maintenance contracts, quality assurance and control, project management, development... the list goes on and on. But businesses don't hire people like me to explain everything, just like I don't want my dry cleaner to give me a lecture on stain removers every time I stop in. They just want me to get things up and running.
Why I'm here?
Different people learn new skills and prepare differently for examination. Some people prefer an instructor-led style of preparation while many others prefer to prepare at their own pace using different resources. I usually prefer the second style and I always wanted to post my notes while I'm learning new skills or preparing for any examination.
