I am new in Steemit and I do not know what to do. But one of my friends suggested me to introduce first to everyone in this amazing community.
I was evidently happy when my account had been verified.
"Oh am I?" my first impression, as if I had not been aware of it.
But who am I to be part of this big community? A community of photographers, writers, and amazing people.
I am Bonn Camilo M. Piezas or 
I grew in a simple family. My mother, Josephine M. Piezas, is the one who guides me until now morally and spiritually. She is the only one who can teach me mathematics inside the house because of her educational background in college. While my father, Bonifacio C. Piezas, supports us financially through his job. He reminds me and my brother about the right things that we shouldn't forget when we grow. Also, his words became part of my principles in life. I have as much gratitude to my older brother, Bonn Josef M. Piezas, who acts like my parents.
I love my family because they are my source of strength. And I hope I can make their dreams come true.
That is why, I strived hard in school and last April 6, 2018, I graduated as the valedictorian in our class. I received four special awards, namely: Conduct Award, Outstanding Student in Arts, Outstanding Student in Science, and Outstanding Student in Mathematics. I was part of the With High Honors list too.
I delivered my valedictory address in front of many people. Happiness, nervous, and excitement controlled my system. Due to nervous, I had asked myself before I stepped on the stage: "How about if I pronounce the words wrongly in my speech? Will they confiscate my awards?"
Then I realized, it wasn't "perfection" that brought me on this stage. It was "progress". Confidence burned deep inside my soul. With a smile, I stepped on the stage with all the strength that I could show. I felt my excellence.
Oh, I am a good student after all the struggles I had in the school and home. But I remembered something from my past, I was diagnosed of developmental disabilities before I became this person that everyone knows. I studied in a school of special children including those who have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism. I was a special child once. Then, I recovered and entered a private school.
I was awarded in the areas of poster makings, debates, literatures, and pageants. I made it to be "With Honors". All the awards that I received weren't enough because from the beginning I always dreamed to be the best but I failed to do so. That is why, I studied hard until I became this person--- the person who wrote this to share his life. How could someone predict that I, a special child, would be a valedictorian?
By the way, I love writing and drawing. Also, I know how to play piano. I want to do more but I would like to put my attention on my studies first.
I am a bibliophile too. And I like science.
I want to be a doctor or else a chemist someday!
I am a simple child with big ambitions. But I am POSITIVE in life! I hope you will follow me to witness my journey. I want to inspire more people and share more things. Please come and see me as a NEWBIE of STEEMIT.
