My name is Tenille and this is my first SteemIt post. I've heard and read quite a bit about SteemIt and I'm very excited to get started so this is my first post!
| To tell you a bit about myself I'm 21 years old...HA ya, right :P I'm 32 :/ But really, I'm young at heart, but also an an old soul....and apparently a pirate in a past life (confirmed by a psychic my best friend and I went to :P) So here's a fun snapchat filter of my past roots for your viewing pleasure! ANYWAYS, enough randomness! What I really want to share is stories about my loves! So let's get into it! |

My First Love: Travel
I'd like to say I've traveled a lot in my life, but to me, I haven't done nearly enough! It is my absolute passion, and from my very first 'real' trip (aka not being a kid with my parents, or staying within my own country, etc.) I officially caught the bug! I was 23 years old. It was Europe. It was life changing. From then on, everything I did, any job I worked, I did it specifically to travel! I've traveled to Europe (as stated earlier) 4 times, Australia, Fiji, Jamaica, Thailand twice, Cambodia, Mexico (about 7 times :P) and lot's of places in the States. I've traveled with boyfriends, best friends and all by myself. I've been to crazy parties, seen some crazy things, did some crazy stuff! I have a million stories that I'm dying to share!! I always said I wanted to write a book about my travel stories! That's why I love the idea of SteemIt - somewhere that I can share all my stories! Hopefully some people will like them, I know I do! lol!
My Second Love: Animals (#1 my pups Atticus)
To be honest, I usually like animals more than humans :P Even watching a movie and seeing an animal get hurt (even though I know it's fake!) just kills me inside!! I have a huge desire in life to help as many animals as I can. My ultimate goal in life is so own an island and have an animal sanctuary there! (that goal is more reachable than one may think....and I will be making a post about that too!) My absolute favorite animal, I'd have to say, is my dog Atticus!
He is 10 years old! We call him our grumpy old man, mainly because he growls all the time, but not in a mean , 'I'm going to kill you' sort of way, more like 'you're annoying me' sort of way. He's definitely an old soul, just like me! His personality is absolutely hilarious and I just can't get enough of this guy! Even after 10 years!!! Last year he had a ruptured disc in his spine, close to his neck, and ended up having to go for emergency surgery. Long story short (saving it for another post!) He is doing much better :) Here's a pic of him after his surgery....you may wonder why they had to basically slice his throat (lil dramatic Tenille..) to fix his back??!!
Not only do I love Atticus though, I love all dogs! Monkeys are my favorite, elephants fascinate me! These are a few animals I've been lucky enough to see in person, but it always comes with a heavy heart as most of them are captive, and chained, and who knows how they're really treated. I have so many stories about this topic as well, so yet another one I'll save for later posts! I hope you all stay tuned! :D

My Third Love: Entrepreneurship
Some people might ask how am I able to travel so much, and that ties perfectly into what I do for a living! I actually work for myself asa Search Engine Optimization specialist, or SEO for short. I build websites and rank them in Google for profitable keywords. When my sites get enough traffic, I either sell advertising space on them in the form of Google Adsense, or I find products to advertise and I get paid a commission when visitors purchase those products through my "affiliate links". That's another whole post again! So much to share!
I've traveled around the States (San Diego, Vegas, Dallas, Phoenix, Orlando) and have even gone to Ireland for work related conventions and summits with people that do exactly what I do, and these events (aka PARTIES!!) are the most amazing times ever. The people you meet, the connections you make, the knowledge you gain, is really what keeps people going and motivated! So many like-minded people. There's an unlimited amount of wealth and potential from the internet that there's an abundance to go around :) Here's a few pics of some events here and there :)
My Plans For SteemIt
As I mentioned earlier, I've always loved the idea of writing a book about all my travels. I would always keep a journal on each of my trips - that way I'd never forget the small little details that fade so quickly. I just love sharing memories and experiences whenever possible! And now with SteemIt, I feel like it's an easy way for me to keep sharing!
