I remember being in the dance program in college, I also remember loving improvisation more than anything. It's many methods, it's unlimited possibilities to tell the same story, or many stories in and infinite number of ways. One thing that stood out is using points of the body to scribble your name in the air, on a wall, on the ground.
I remember it being so silly of a thing at first but I'm a bit more mature now and I keep it handy. I quit college, I felt that it was taking too much life from me but I've never quit moving.
Maybe you want to use this concept as well...who knows.
