Greetings fellow Steemers! (Steemites? Steemsters?)
I wanted to introduce myself to everyone on Steemit; a co-worker just showed me this group this past Thursday (7/20/17) - I'm super excited to start my experience on here, and am looking forward to becoming a friend and partner to anyone who wants to within this community! I'm honestly not concerned about earning Steem, although I think it's definitely a cool concept - I mostly want to build really solid and unique relationships with other people that you can't always get elsewhere via social media (i.e. IG + FB).
A little about myself:
- Just turned 32 years old (I unfortunately look a tad young for my age. I may be happier about it when I'm 50)
- Music is my life, but unfortunately not my day job yet. However, it's what I do with the majority of my free/spare time.
- My main instrument is the guitar, but I also know how to play the drums, piano, bass, banjo, mandolin and a little bit of ocarina.
- Other interests include online/any search functionalities, essentially all animals, global news, cryptocurrencies, Jeet Kune Do, old movies, and plenty more that I can delve into on future posts.
For now, I thought I may be useful to the community by sharing videos of my musical creations and song ideas. I think I have a unique niche going on since I am able to get a decent sound from a violin bow on my electric guitar without it sounding like mush - but I will eventually post some tutorials on how to utilize a violin bow for any guitarists looking to explore that musical realm as well! I also think it would be neat to post certain musical creations I do solely on Steemit! I have a lot to explore within the community though, and will continually learn as much as I can.
Here's a quick link to the best-performing violin bow vid I have on my Instagram account:

I'm currently working on an EP and am in the beginning stages of choosing band members, specific songs, etc. If any other musicians would be interest in collaborating, please feel free to reach out to me! I'd also love to meet fellow musicians, follow you and sort of create a musical collective that shares musical ideas, thoughts, theories, etc.
Oh, I should note that I CANNOT read music at ALL. I am self-taught, and I think I have been blessed with a decent ear, but I cannot comprehend musical theory or read sheet music in the slightest. I may end up trying to learn some eventually, however, especially since my girlfriend majored in violin performance.
Speaking of which, here's a quick YouTube vid of us performing a duet, covering a Christmas song from this past December!
I'm not sure how much or how little to share in this community, but hopefully this post does the job so far! Apologies if I've inadvertently broken any rules; I made sure to read through the FAQs before posting, but hopefully I did not miss anything.
Here's a few more random photos of me as well:
Thanks again for being yourself, for welcoming me and for the potential of future friendships! :-)
