Hello Steemit Community!
I’m a steemit newbie and this is my first post.
(Azaleas outside my house)
It's spring time and since everything is growing and blooming, I thought I'd start something new, too.
I have always wanted to post and share my writings online, but I’ve always felt a little out of place in the social media platforms with the contents that I wanted to write. I decided to take the plunge with you great folks and contribute my two cents worth (hopefully a little more than that ;)).
I’ll leave the heavy-duty serious topics to other knowledgeable people and concentrate on the following.
I endeavor to share snippets of knowledge, remind people of fun facts and bring up topics to think about. I will end with a fun or interesting fact as a takeaway.
I hope you come and join me in my blog, read and most importantly, have fun! I know I will!
See you out there!

Something to think about…
Have you ever asked the question “What can I do?” to help or change some of the things that are happening around the world? I know I have, more than I can count, but I’ve felt helpless because I’m only one individual and I don’t have the power or the financial means to make a difference. Well, that’s what I erroneously thought until I read this:
I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot; together we can do great things.
- Mother Teresa-
I definitely can’t do what she did, but I can do my bit in my little world, baby step at a time. With 7.5 billion people in this world, this is definitely achievable! To great things!

Not all happy-faced spider have a smiley-faced pattern as the above happy fellow but it is because of this pattern that the spider got its name. It sure looks happy.
These spiders are only 5mm big in size, so you need a microscope to have a better look.
What a creative and wonderful world we live in! Thank you God! You are amazing.
Blast from the past!
MAGIC EYE!!!
It is just possible that some people may not know what a ‘magic eye’ is, since perhaps they were born after the cross-eyed stereogram craze of the 90’s… if so, you’re in for one heck of a cross-eyed fun! For others, let’s see how fast you can see it!
Here's one:

If it’s taking you longer than expected, take a break and come back to it. It helps.
Once you start to see it though, it actually gets much faster and easier to see!
