My friends call me Tibor.
Tibor thinks a proper introduction should be done in the third person.
Tibor is from Western New York but since 1969 has been involved in a plethora of things Asian – and since the 1980s in advising Japanese MNCs on the legalities of their China business since before people realized that it existed. By trade a lawyer, he works at JunHe LLP and is based at their Beijing head office.
Tibor is a centrist. The purpose of this blog is not to show one side versus the other but rather to facilitate discourse between members of this community.
Tibor believes that quantification, not obfuscation (“cultural” or otherwise) of the reality on the ground is the essence especially when engaging business/financial transactions. There is always a reason for something occurring, and that reason must be understood. The reality is not always pleasant but without quantifying it in as precise terms as possible, sustainable business is not possible.
Tibor’s main social media for the past 10 years has been LinkedIn, on which he has circa 18,000+ connections and 17,000+ followers. He uses it as a news and information aggregator and wants to bring the same news to this platform. Tibor is also active on Facebook. Now with more #tiborquotes and #tiborisms
Tibor thinks that it is great to be here and looks forward to having fun.
