So. I thought it was high time I introduced myself. I've been creeping around here for about two weeks, commenting here and there, while working up the courage to actually post content myself. Today, I pulled up my big girl pants and got on with it. So here's me:
I'm 34, living in Belgium, and I'm a medical imaging technician. I'm engaged, and together with my significant other, we have 4 dogs. We compete in dog agility and one of our dogs also competes in the show ring with me.
Other than that, my interests are varied, and my taste is eclectic.
I love to be in the kitchen. That is the only part of our house that is not ruled by the dogs. The food I cook is mostly paleo, as that keeps my migraines under control for me, and I actually blog about this on another site. Food, to me, feeds the soul as well as the body, and I love exploring the world through my tastebuds, from South America, to Asia, and with a detour past every country in Europe.
I also love the written word in all its forms. From poetry, to thrillers, to classics like Jane Austin, to fantasy novels that create a world all their own.
I just wrote my very first short story, and am collecting the courage necessary to put it out there, maybe share it with all of you. I find it scary though. When people read the blog I wrote about my daily life and food, it feels like someone looking through a photo album. But letting people actually read a fiction piece, feels more like letting you guys have a peek inside my soul. Does that make sense?
Anyway, I'm looking forward to being more active here!
