My name is Sami Barakat, I was born in #Venezuela in a very interesting date which I usually do not like to reveal for personal reasons, #4/20. I am a Business Administrator graduate with a minor in Marketing and have good writing skills which I hope to yield and strengthen through #Steemit. I’m not really a big blogger nor into social media or forums but found this site to be very interesting and beneficial, so I hope to be an active member by sharing some of my interests, experiences, knowledge and research, not excluding some entertaining components.
I am a #monotheist believing in a greater power rather than a greater superior human figure, but my religious view is quite simple, there are three kind of people in this world: “The Good, the Bad and the Lost” as for my political view having experienced #capitalist, #socialist and #communist countries; #Anarchy is the way to go, no man/woman should have superiority over others, knowing that any person will abuse their powers for their own benefit, after all, laws were written only for the mass, people who write it don’t follow these rules, it protects them not us!
Find bellow the results of small #survey I conducted:
I am a mixed product of diverse ethnicities from Latin, European and Middle Eastern, but my native tongue is certainly Spanish, although because of my education the language I’m mostly proficient with is #English. I studied my Bachelor Degree in #Lebanon, moved back to Venezuela after graduation, only to be disappointed about the situation, I left the country when the deceased President Hugo Chavez passed away, since it was obvious where things were heading; things only got worse as an uneducated previous bus driver got assigned for Presidency. Therefore, I moved to the #Gulf to work in real estate as an Account Manager/Business Developer for a firm, only to discover that the Gulf is a mirage in the desert, promising fortune and comfort, which are achievable but commonly recompensed as rent, bills, maintenance and entertainment.
After getting a bit sunburnt, I moved back to Lebanon to work in Programme Development for Non-Governmental institutions, drafting and designing projects to enhance social inclusion, equality and stability; projects ranged from Humanitarian acts and advocacy to supply chain development and income generating opportunities. Throughout these years and experiences, I have had an angel looking over me waiting by my side, supporting every move, the woman of my dreams, my fiancé Hania Khoury; we managed to sustain our relationship through distance and hardship for 8 years now, and till date my love for her has only grown.
Now I have been planning to move to the #Netherlands to further pursue my skills in a more advanced setting and start a family in a safer environment.
Another main factor of my life has been my personal project “CHALLWE”, that I have been working on for the past 5 years, it’s basically a start-up that I have been trying to accomplish in which I hope to be sharing more details about soon or once finalized and I will need your feedback and contributions to fulfil its core aims; I will keep you posted on it as we move forward with its progress.
I’m looking forward for my first comments and feedback, I really hope you enjoyed reading my brief, and kindly note that being a #newbie here I will follow anyone that follows me assuming we have similar interests and experiences, so please #follow me to stay tuned with more materials to come and to stay updated for more information about my endeavor.
