This book leaves a heavy residue on the soul. The work is beautiful from the linguistic point of view, the most linguistic design. The novel abounds with beautiful and long gone into folk phrases, the feelings of heroes are transmitted with fullness and depth. The author managed to describe them and so that you begin to feel yourself as a character, completely merge with him, as you read about yourself in a past life. But this scares both simultaneously, because the "orders" surrounding their people are terrible and ruthless, the time and place in which they by the will of fate were in anticipation of one of the bloodiest events in the history of the 20th century, and the picture of their past is gloomy and unbearably excruciating.
The realism of the terrible details, the general depression and despair, the decline, the broken dreams and hopes reign over the content of the whole narrative of the novel. Even if the author tries to control a ray of light for a short while into the darkness of the life of people of that era, he quickly fades and dissolves, as if nothing happened. During the reading, all this depresses, suppresses and frustrates, but at the same time does not allow to come off, plunges with a head and makes you forget about everyday worries.
Priorities in life:
- Peace of mind;
- Material well-being.
But many, I think, this kind of work is able to introduce depression and long painful thoughts. Therefore, if you have a bad mood, you are waiting for a beautiful love story and want to get inspired, then it's better to postpone this book until more appropriate times.
