Hello everyone. I’ve been lurking for awhile and finally mustered up the courage to sign on and start blogging.
I’m kinda of a jack of all trades and master of none as the saying goes. I’ve done many different things from working in the Oil and Gas industry to sitting in an office in front of a PC entering data and writing user docs. I attended college majored in Biology, then majored in psychology, but dropped out to party in central Texas. Do I regret it, in a word “yes”...
I have way too many interests to narrow it down to just one and sometimes it gets overwhelming.
The past fascinates me and to forget history is to repeat it! Not necessarily in a good way either.
The Medieval times and earlier centuries are fascinating as is the Enlightenment Period. Alchemy, mysticism, the esoteric arts are all topics of interest as are secret societies and philosophy.
An amateur historian and collector of unusual artifacts is a favorite pastime. I love all animals and being out in nature. Saltwater fishing and travel are in my blood.
As someone who enjoys their own company and is comfortable being alone, books and writing are central pillars in my life. I hope to meet others here on steemit with similar interests and find a community that’s a good fit.
Recently the lure of crypto has drawn me in, so I pulled my big boy pants up and bought a small bit of BTC and Circle CRC ICO. AAPICS is also calling my name, it’s next on the list coming up in March. I’m not obsessed with crypto, but definitely see it going “boom” in the next couple of years as the blockchain matures. I’m in for the long haul, so HODL!
In closing, knowledge is power and learning is liberation.
I look forward to meeting fellow steemians and hearing your stories.
