They say that the best moment for a butterfly is when it first breaks out of their cocoon and flaps its wings for the first time! Learning how to fly!
I think being on Steem is like that. I have always wanted to bring more friends onto the platform but it was hard in the beginning as I myself was a minnow little plankton here - haha, it's been awhile since I used "plankton"..
But I set myself out an objective to bring new users and friends on #steemit and I am happy to say I got at least 3 friends in real life to sign up on here now.
- A friend I recently met but already banging out 2 post after signing up for less than a week. She is a Master Trainer on Linkedin so do give her profile a look! - See her Introduction post here
- A friend from Uni days, she is very shy in real life but I told her it is okay to be yourself on #steem as there is a community for everyone. She like Manga and Pokemon and wants to make friends - See what she Likes in this post
- My close friend and someone I rely on with matters of both business and social - he is fluent in both English and Chinese and is a brilliant academic in real life. Due to his busy work schedule, he has not been active on Steem but I can see in the last few days a revival of sorts - See his latest post on plants he grows in his backyard here
That's all for now but I have no plans to stop telling others about this amazing platform and of course getting more friends to join.. Ps. Who needs Instagram ya? :P
I hope you will encourage my friends and myself with your support as much as possible and with that I thank you!!
I hope to give another update soon, and you guys, if you are reading this, remember to support and his #whalepower tag/community as he has helped me grow on here as well.. :)
Another awesome group is #teamaustralia as they are now a massive community - there are so many activities you can join. I especially like the openmic stuff they are doing but sadly I am no singer..
Ultimately there is something on here for everybody so just enjoy yourself and interactions with the community. I'll be here if you need any support.
Cheers!
