I first came to Steemit looking for the latest news on cryptocurrencies and after looking around for a while I decided I liked it here and wanted to come back. I got into cryptocurrencies back in march and I've been hooked since. I've been reading as many articles and blog posts, and watching as many videos as I can trying to catch up on what is going on. I was foolish enough to think I could day trade and ended up learning the hard way to just buy and hold. Or at least not to fall for the FOMO. It took a few losses to figure that out though.
I'm sure there is no one on this site that hasn't been hit by some ridiculous fee by a bank. Here's some of the few i've been hit with over the years... Account maintenance fee, International transaction fee, Other bank ATM fee, Overdraft fee, Insufficient funds fee and late payment fee. Add those to crazy interest rates and loosing 3-5 cents on any currency exchanges. It's enough to keep you poor.
When I got my first credit card I found out I needed to ring the number on the card and tell them I wanted any payments I made to go towards paying off charges that had the highest interest rate first. Stupidly I thought it was a first charged first paid basis but it turns out automatically the credit card company would pay off charges that had the lowest interest rate attached first. It only took a year and half to figure that out. Lesson learned... the hard way.
I've had enough of banks and financial institutions for me cryptocurrencies are the future and I'm all in. If anyone is looking for advice all i can offer is... research, buy, hold and don't panic.
