Hello, welcome to my introduction post. In order for you to get the full grasp of why I almost didn’t join I have to tell you about myself.
I am a single mom of three kids, highly introverted and obsessed with creating. Creating in almost any shape or form. I love photography, I submit images to a stock agency, Arcangel.com, and have had my photos on over 20 book covers all over the world. Most of my images are self portrait conceptual work. But sometimes my kids are willing to model for me. Not only do I do photography, but I also have spent the last 6 months or so exploring any other art medium that I felt like trying out. I have done chalk drawings, digital painting, acrylic painting, watercolors, pen and ink, pencil drawings, and oil painting has become one of my favorites. I have done time-lapse videos of a few of my fan art portraits and I will be sharing those. I also have an account on redbubble (https://www.redbubble.com/people/WildEmpress) where some of my art is available on products. I also DIY a lot, I make things for photo-shoots, wardrobe and props. I buy almost everything from thrift stores and the dollar store for my creations, so you can expect some diy ideas and photography hack posts.
I am an introvert, but more specifically I am an INTJ. (If you don't know what that is I highly suggest you Google Myers Briggs personality quiz, take it test and tell me what you are!) A INTJ is the rarest mbti type for females so you might hear a bit about what that's like. INTJs think a lot. All of my projects and images end up having dual meanings, one that is personal to me, and then a larger theme or symbolism that relates to something bigger, my community, society, or humanity on a whole. So you have these musings to look forward to. I also love to research things like different aesthetics, historical genres, and the science of art and creativity.
If I am not creating, I am filling up on information and inspiration with books and fantasy genre movies and TV. I will reference to that stuff as well.
Now the reason I almost didn’t join, is because I love what I do SO much that any time taken away from my creativity is almost never worth it. I literally like to spend every second of my day making something. Isnt that crazy! I almost didn't join because I would rather be MAKING the content than POSTING it.
But here I am because at the end of the day all the things I create need to be put out into the world. I look forward to sharing what I make, I hope to connect with other creatives, and maybe be able to teach a few of my hacks to anyone that is looking for some cheap alternatives.
I am really excited to find other creatives, it doesn’t matter what you do, hobby or as profession, if it is a creative pursuit that you feel passionate about I want to know all about you!!
I can't wait to get started!
