As a young Entrepreneur caught up in the web of life, as a man inhabiting planet Earth, I often wonder what is the point to it all. Am I simply here to perpetuate the reigns of capitalism? The reigns that our forefathers lay in front of us. Am I to willingly submit to the tyranny of fractional reserve lending and the insanity of having a government that doesn't issue the money that they then tax you for using?
Maybe, call me insane. It appears, as I am a man of good faith. If money was issued by the government, then the dollars could be accounted. Instead of creating a debt when issuing a new unit of value (money) into the economy, why not simply keep account of the intentions (for why) the economy demands the new units of value be available for trade in the marketplace? This seems like a more sane approach to accounting, wealth management and the growth of our communities. Instead of having ledgers full of debt because members of our community seek more education, become sick or want to start a business, why not simply have the institutions that are issuing the units of exchange or dollars keep account for what it was issued. What will it take to change the equation?
The simple fact is that because of the way money is issued in this world, our governments will never be able to balance their budgets. Since no new money becomes available for trade within the economy without the creation of a debt, there will always be more debt then there is money available in the community to pay down that debt. We have a never ending cycle of inequality and poverty when we allow the principles of fractional reserve lending to govern banking.
Poverty; It is one of the most detrimental diseases we allow to still exist in our developing world. The very principles of fractional reserve lending which govern EVERY bank existing perpetuates the cycles of poverty. We live in a world where our collective financial equation can never equal itself. We will always live in a world ridden with poverty and despair if we do not change the formula for our method of accounting and dispersing resources. That is the study of economics: goods and services. How far is the supply from where the demand for such goods or services exist. Economics, in my eyes, doesn't need to include profit. The goal could be efficiency and the purpose of wellness. Money could be created out of nothing and be issued with intention. If my goal, as a man, is to be a well respected individual in his community and a master of his craft, how much money do I really need? What does wealth look like to me as an individual? Is it something that is dictated by the number of USD I have written next to my name in a ledger at a local bank? Is it the faith and good will I see and feel from the other members of the community I live with? Is money a good measure of one achievements? Am i going to feel like a better more connected citizen if I collect and save a million dollars? Or are the relationships I foster with others in this world a better indicator of the wealth I hold and bestow on others.
I have many questions about the world we share. I have lost my faith in this humanity. I have wished for death and have only been able to see the darkness. I have been poor, i have felt wealthy; I have worked hard. I have found many different qualities of light within myself. I have paid attention. Nothing in this world is free. No good time, No bad time. So look out for one another. Even the richest of Men are not islands. The brightest of lords, still cast shadows. We are a beautiful and evolving experiment on planet earth. I for one hope those that bow there heads to there hearts can cast there reigns on our collective financial institutions and rearrange the math so more people can prosper and live in wellness. With trust for there communities and world at large.
For a better world,
~~Wilhelm
