Imagine this: You live in northern Minnesota in a ramshackle house with 7 cats and more than 5000 books. Electricity but no indoor plumbing. Internet but coyotes. All your food (and everything else, for that matter) is courtesy of FedEx. You've got nothing but time... and still the days fly by.
That is my material setup, 24 acres of nowhere, a combo of fields, woods and bog. Surrounded by the decaying efforts of previous homesteaders (2 houses, 1 foundation, a couple of outhouses, animal housing, even a combine). A hundred downed trees from a couple of wind storms. Northern gothic, in short.
This may explain why my current project is an illustrated collection of poems by E.A. Poe. I'm an artist who uses digital compositing to make illustrations. Digital compositing is a form of collage where you blend the pieces together into an organic whole instead of the cut-and-paste look.
I'm on Steemit because decentralization can't happen fast enough.
