Hello, little creatures of the Kingdom; Internet readers hungry for content. Being a faithful follower of the rules, I am writing to introduce myself in this space.
Who am I?
That's a question easy to answer.
Halena I was baptized me, and by twist of fate people my name like —Yes, you read well, Halena... is not Helena, Galena or Malena, not... nor is a finger out there I know that more than one you ask it you even if you don't tell it me—; but returning to the heart of who I am, I'm a Venezuelan woman over forty, single, no commitment and no dog, with a Bachelor's degree, a technical degree, specialization and two master's degrees; a rare employment and an acquired disability.
What should I do?
This is no longer so easy to answer question, but let's see if I can offer you an explanation without tangling you Parrot —i.e. without confuse you—.
In a nutshell, I do much and little. Professionally, my role is to be a mediator between teachers and students with disabilities enrolled in the career of computer science in the Faculty of Sciences of the Central University of Venezuela — I not studied for that, but it is what it is—.
Some you wonder, mediator, but for what?
Easy; to find a consensual strategy that allow student curse on equal terms, of course, to adopt their subjects.
How much and little at a time?
Maybe because it is not a simple job and because few students with disabilities arriving at the college level.
Out professionally, I write a blog, I read, game role and occasionally recorded a cover of a song that I like. Nothing very exceptional, until I tell people that I am blind and then things change.
Can you also ask you why I write using the traditional forms of the language of Cervantes if I'm Venezuelan. Well, that's also simple to answer: question of taste and personal challenge.
If by chance you ask you how being blind write in a blog, or by this platform, even for social networks — will that some ask you as we do blind people to live—, I invite you to continue reading me, surely you discover something interesting.
Tell you before dismissing this short presentation, that my goal is not to become a example, or cause feeling; cannot find compassion or admiration of me who read.
Apart from emptying my mind of thoughts — sometimes crazy and irreverent as to frighten more than one—, I write because I like and also write because I believe that blindness it must enough too many myths, too many false beliefs, distortions, on estimate and very few people who speak openly about this subject, on disability in general and on inclusion.
Tell you also that I'm not thinking I owner of absolute truth, only speak from my experience as a person and as a woman who has learned to live otherwise.
Said this, I invite you again to me to continue, that you read and that you share and comment my posts and in advance I thank you all for being there on the other side.
Regards and strong embrace to everybody.
Before dismissing me, thank by tell us my
sister and me, on steemit.
