Hello everyone,
My name is Babatunde Ogunsiku, I am a storyteller, photojournalist, as well as the Co-founder and CEO of Africa Chess Media; a platform dedicated to showcasing, celebrating, and promoting African chess talents to the world, and telling African Chess stories, the African way.
What began as a passion for documenting chess stories has grown into a movement; a movement that connects players, fans, along with chess federations across the continent and beyond. Through our articles, photos, interviews, and events, Africa Chess Media has become a voice for the African chess community, highlighting our brilliance, struggles, and victories.
My mission is simple: to see African chess take its rightful place on the global stage, where our players not only compete but thrive, inspire, and transform lives through the game.
Here is a picture of Hive favorite on the chessboard 💪🏾
Whether through photography, writing, or organizing events, I am constantly driven by one belief, that chess is more than a game; it is a tool for growth, strategy, and change.
As an author, I wrote the book CHESS: The Life Changing Tool, which was launched last month. It is a book that breaks down the principles of Chess and shows how they relate to Life, using various examples.
I hope to become an active member of the Hive family, as I share some stories from the African divide.
Join us as we continue to tell Africa’s chess story, one move, one frame, and one victory at a time.
