I am a 32 year old mother of four daughters. I live in Arizona with my husband and best friend. I love spending time with my family and making every day as epic as I can. My family and I spent some time being homeless this year and had been living a nomadic lifestyle. We recently got approved for housing and move in tomorrow.
I have been a basic income advocate for about six years now. I first learned about a Resource Based Economy from Peter Joseph and shortly after found Scott Santens, a champion for basic income advocacy. My family is receiving our own version of a basic income through Patreon and crowd funding. I have an article specifically detailing how a basic income of only $1000 per month would have kept my family from becoming homeless. Basic income is the way forward into the future. It is what is going to combat economic insecurity for families just like mine and I advocate for this future every day.
