Yay, our account has been approved, and we are working to make the jump.
Watching numbers drastically decline on Facebook is painful, to say the least. At the end of the day, our goal is to inform, start conversations, and get people involved in what is going on around them. If Facebook doesn't want to be a part of that, then others will fill the role. Seems that Steemit is jumping to the forefront.
A mutually beneficial arrangement it seems. Forgive us briefly as we get acclimated, and know that some of our content is aggregated from other sources in an effort to increase the reach of the information, and help inform our target audience.
We hope to make lots of new connections in this new world and bring our old connections on board with us.
So that's our quick intro to why we are coming, our what we are bringing is a little more complicated. We are an outlet run by women, focused on issues that impact women, and that we do not see getting enough attention from the mainstreem media. This includes everything from violence against women, women's rights issues, climate change, to government's legilating for or against women, and their children. Sometimes our message is just looking at things from a women's perspective.
So that about covers it, we will see you around hopefully!
