Hello,
My name is Janeissy Fernandez and I am 27 years old. I have a 20-month-old son and a loving fiancé. I was born and raised in Miami, Florida; however, my parents and grandparents are from Cuba. I am currently seeking a BS in Business from the University of Florida. Hopefully, in five years I will have completed/earned my MS in Criminal Justice as well! Having undergone several hardships in life (like many of you), I strongly believe that “persistence overcomes resistance” … if you truly want to achieve something, you will.
My background is predominantly in banking (operations and sales). I began my career in banking as soon as a graduated high school. I started as a Teller and then was quickly promoted to Head Teller, Personal Banker, Assistant Store Manager, and Operations Specialist. Right now, I am a stay-at-home mom. Occasionally, I perform some work as a freelance writer and I assist students of all ages in completing their homework and essays (tutoring); I also help professionals by creating resumes/cover letters as well as action plans that will be presented to their employers/employees.
On my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and watching my son grow. I also love to travel, explore new places, go to the beach, kayak, and fish (it’s a “Salt Life” for me). Staying up-to-date with the news is important to me as well. This is my first time blogging, so please feel free to share comments, feedbacks, and suggestions. I look forward to reading - and sharing - interesting ideas.
