Hello! My name is Justin Lawrence and I am 19. I come from a family of 4, and I don't know where I would be without them today. I have always had amazing support with everything I do, and I am extremely thankful for that. I will be honest, one week ago I had no idea what Steemit was or that it even existed. I was at work one morning and I was chatting with one of my coworkers 
Hive account@theprophet about Bitcoin. I had heard him talk about it and I wanted to learn more about how it worked. The conversation then changed course and he mentioned something called "Steemit". I had no idea what he had said and he had to repeat himself several times before it finally registered. The first thing that caught my eye was the way he talked about Steemit. He started to get really excited and sat down with me to thoroughly explain how everything worked. When I saw how excited he was about this, I couldn't help but get excited myself!
Once he started explaining how Steemit worked, he mentioned his son was very active on the website. By active I mean every hour of the day! His son 
Hive account@theprophet0 is only 15 years old, so I didn't think much of it until I started to read some of his blogs.. I saw the amount of work and dedication he has put into Steemit. I read and reread his blogs, and I couldn't help but admire the way he approaches his blogs. Most 15 year olds are at the pool all day being kids or watching TV, but Hive account@theprophet0 is doing big things at such a young age! I can't even imagine being 15 and accomplishing what he has so far. I can't begin to explain my admiration towards what Hive account@theprophet0 has done and it honestly gives me chills. His dad talks about him and his work with so much passion in his eyes. He is a great father who loves his son more than anything, and has every right to brag about what his son is accomplishing. I look forward every day to speaking with him about what his son has done so far, and the future he has ahead of him.
I can't thank Hive account@theprophet enough for showing me this amazing community of great people and knowledge. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to show me something so incredible! I would never have guessed a week ago that I would be typing up my first blog on Steemit. I have so much to learn about this, and I can't wait to keep progressing on here. I have been reading everything I can about Steemit to gain a better understanding of the website and how the whole process works. I am amazed by some of the blogs and the amount of knowledge people have on here. The hard work people put in on here and the support they give each other is incredible. I am excited for what is to come and the future of Steemit! Thank you so much everybody!
