I felt myself being violently pushed back and forth when I came to,
not remembering where I was or what I was doing there. It was cold but I could make out the sun’s blinding light at high noon as I tried to open my eyes. When they were
fully opened, I recognized others that were just like me although one thing was peculiar…
Why are we all floating?
I tried making sense of all that was happening until I felt myself rise and so did everyone around me. We were being forcefully hurled towards the North? South? East? West? My sense of direction was lost and I had no strength to go against whatever force was playing with us. I seemed to be riding the wind for quite a while until I had felt a forceful contact with some kind of solid.
Then it hit me…
Literally.
Greetings, SteemIt Community! I’m Eliza, a plankter in this vast ocean of blogs and am currently in my senior year of high school with just one more school year to go before graduating and pursuing a medical course in college.
I had never been that playful kid covered in mud, one that smelled like a mixture of sweat and grass when I was younger. Instead, I fancied books and lived in my own little fantasy world, imagining all the possible and impossible things that could happen. I loved to imagine myself being a knight whilst I read about King Arthur and his famous Knights of the Round Table, or being a detective while reading Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes. I was quite the imaginative young Lass back then that my parents would often find me staring out into the blue.
Out of my love for literature, I made lots of stories and poems so I decided to create an account in SteemIt after some people introduced me to it and share my love and passion for literature with the community. Most of the future stuff you'll see on this blog are some of my poems and stories, personal book reviews, personal experiences, and probably some random drawings that I decide to create.
My family has a great history of good musicians, too, so I also have an interest in music and with quite a while of negotiating and waiting, my mother had brought me and my sister to The River of Life Orchestra where I was taught to play the double bass and has been the only double bassist since 2013, sad to say… But I still have high hopes of having a protégé one day so I must practice really hard.
Have I mentioned that I also dance?
I also hope some of my orchestra mates would like to do a cover with me so I can share to you guys how awesome and talented they are.
I also love history and sciences.
I'd like to give a shoutout to and
for introducing me to this wonderful website filled with wonderful, sophisticated people.
Now, I, the little plankter, was swept by the changing currents farther into the magnificent open ocean.
A gigantic whale passes by, peacefully.
I'd like to be like that someday.
