How I got here:
Its kind of a long story but i will try to sum it up nicely. I never really got into Crypto much but back in the early days of Ethereum a good friend of mine was telling me about it, I was trying hard to understand but it all didnt come together at that time for me, He ended up sending me a few dollars in ETH so i could try to use it to rent a game server from a company who accepted crypto as payment, so I got my wallet tried it out, and forgot about it.
Fast forward 5 years or so..... My nephew tells me about this Dogecoin that is going to make a lot of people good money and it was going for about $0.06 a coin and he insisted I get some... Now here I am not knowing a thing about Crypto, how it works, how to get it, I remembered I used it before and I happened to have my wallet key saved and I was able to access it.... So I did and I thought it was some sort of error but I had almost $200 in there.... so now my journey on how to use it.....
Anyway I ended up figuring out how to use Binance and other exchanged and finally got my hands on the golden Dogecoin, For months I watched it grow, watched it go down, all while researching all kinds of rabbit holes dealing with crypto, Learned much of the basics, how to look up prices and information about coins and blockchains. Found myself play with BSC stuff, and stumbled upon HIVE while searching for something like "crypto games" or "earn crypto with games" and found #dCity, #Splinterlands, and #RisingStarGame, from there I have been using hive daily....
Just a little more:
I have been involved with computers since I was a young kid, making text base games in BASIC, Visiting and running BBS's before the internet was a thing, and picked up programing in PHP doing small web development projects through-out the years.
And now I plan to:
I have been learning the inner working of the blockchain and discovering ways to tie my PHP programing into crypto and very soon I will be opening up a new website game to use hive and hive tokens.. (i dont want to go into much detail yet.. but its work thats been in progress).
Im not much of a blogger and I really dont know what Im doing but after making a post about #splinterlands last night (
) commented on my post suggesting I make a Introduction to the Hive Community post, so here is #myhiveintro If you made it this far I feel for ya!!
Finally:
I am interested to see if anyone actually enjoyed my post and I am also open to any suggestions about how to advance in the community and accomplish my goal of making a fun game on the blockchain.
