This is Sravya .Born on 10-04-1995, turned out to be a challenge to my mother who since then chose to spend every breath on enlightening a dark world so luminous to create memorable days like this.
I was with mom till Std. 3, as she was also a teacher in a school called BVK. In my Std. 4 mom was advised by a good number of people to put me in to the school for blind to develop me an independent girl. I was there for a period of 6 months when mom was called up by the administration to remove me from there to ensure my standards not to go down. Mom took me out of the school for blind and started her search for a school that can give place to a visually impaired girl. Mom having hailed from a machinery school, aimed me to be placed in a similar ground. After attending 7 interviews with the principal, she proudly succeeded in winning an admission for me in Kotak Salesian School in 2004, with an undertaking that the school is not responsible for any of the consequences. The first time I could make my mother proud is when a week later, the principal called upon her to express his happiness for my performance in the school.
I completed my standard 10 with a percentage of 86. As I was always nourished on success stories of civil services, I developed it to be my dream and later a target. I picked up Civics, Economics and Commerce as areas of interest in my intermediate with an intention of pursuing law as my career. I stood as a state topper for the said group in the year 2012. This was followed by a huge press coverage both print media and broadcast of interviews. On the mother’s day of 2012 mom was announced as “The mother of Andhra” by Andhra Jyoti a renowned newspaper in AP. I started of my journey towards my career by scoring a fairly good place in CLAT through which I backed a seat in WBNUJS Kolkata. I took my admission in Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University for 5 year BA.LLB (Honns) in the year 2012. I stood a consistent topper of the university for 10 semesters continuously and declared the best outstanding student a number of times. I worked on various publications , both national and international such as publication in OIDA U.S.A on “access to justice in environmental matters “ and authored a book on “commercial courts” etc. won best debater awards at national level and best speaker awards a number of times including the eve of 500th Krishna Devaraya coronation , police commemoration day , population day , environmental day, world ozone day etc by different institutions and organisations organizing events. Iam awarded a scholarship by the ministry of Human Resource Development for an amount including my academic fee and facilities such as books. Was considered a resource person by NGOs like BREADS and has taken up a number of legal awareness campaigns along with motivational sessions.
I recently associated with a company called Pioneer Design Engineering PVT.LTD and is a motivational career counselor towards automotive designing. I recently commenced my career in law taking my first step towards new challenges.
I honestly thank my mother for the molding of my life and would never hesitate on the fact for her being the sole reason for what ever I would be. She along with my brother and the support of few of her friends made me believe that we can achieve our dreams and helped me set my mind for executing a path of travel towards success.
