Hello to such an awesome community! My name is Promise Tobore and today I am making my first steps into the Hive blockchain - something that I learned about online and, eventually, made my decision to go and see. I cannot wait to see what the future holds and I am so thrilled to be part of such brilliant individuals that make this community what it is.
My name is a young Nigerian, a Kwara State native, and I am a student of the Kwara State University (KWASU), where I am undertaking a degree course in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. Yes--rockets, airplanes, and flying science. It is not an easy discipline and I am sure that things in life are never easy to come by.
All the calculations, all the late nights studying with books, all the complicated formulas are molding me into a person who will be able to make a difference in the world of aviation and space exploration one day. This is not the field that I blundered into. I have always been a looker up, both literally and figuratively.
The notion that man created machines that break the law of gravity and fly across the air, and that we now have the audacity to go to places beyond our earth makes me wonder with awe that never fades away. The reason behind my decision to choose this is that I enjoy challenges and what can be more challenging than to design the future.
I am a simple but significant person in my life beyond my studies. I adore reading - there is something about sitting down and immersing oneself in an entirely different world, psyche or time that I find to be extremely satisfying. I read broadly whether it is science, philosophy, or personal development, or fiction because I think knowledge is the best investment that one can make in oneself.
I am also fond of writing. Personally, writing is my way of processing the world, trapping ideas before they get away, and developing. And music--my inseparable companion. Music has never left me alone whether I am studying, resting or contemplating on a challenging problem.
I found Hive in the search of platforms where ideas are indeed appreciated. The first thing that caught my attention was the culture real people, real talks, and real content that will make a real difference in thought.
That touched my heart, as my mission on this site is straightforward, to publish stuff that changes the way of thinking, including mine. I think that any post must leave the reader slightly better than he was prior to reading the post, and that is the criterion that I will attempt to maintain myself to on this platform.
