Greetings, Hivers! I hope this finds you well. I am delighted to be here. 🙂
"Hmm... what do I say? Think, think, think." This was on my mind upon receiving a warm welcome message from suggesting an introductory post. I must say that I got too excited to make my very first post as a newbie here on Hive so I am thankful to
for reminding me and assisting me on this matter. Thank you! 🙂
I AM...
I am Gen Rivera from the Philippines and thanks to my younger brother for finding Hive as he was scouring the internet for some video games to play.
At first, it felt like an information overload on my end as everything about the concept of Hive seemed alien to me. I took some time to read in my desire to understand what this is all about and even though I am well aware that I still have a lot to know, I felt something within me that told me, "This is it!" I vibed with Hive and so... I jumped right in! I will inevitably learn as I go.
I LOVE...
I have always loved writing though I cannot call myself a poet nor a writer. Writing has always been healing to my soul and lately, especially with how our world suddenly changed, I have been looking for ways to put my words out there, in my hopes that someone, somewhere, would resonate with my writings somehow.
Aside from writing, I have other loves such as singing, art and handcrafting. Here are some of what I do.
I am basically a Jane-Of-All-Trades and if life allows, I aim to master these things that I love doing until my last breath. Growing up in a violent home with still unresolved psychological trauma, I find refuge in these things. This is my way of healing my spirit.
BELOVED...
Two of my best healers, the warmth in a rather cold existence are my beloved dogs. 😍
GOING BACK...
Ok... It feels like I am all over the place now. What I am meaning to say is I am grateful for finding Hive. I believe this is a great place to freely express oneself. I still have so much to know about this wonderful platform and I am excited to explore the world of Hive and its ecosystem. I will learn as I go!
