As I'm sure you can all relate to, I am SO TIRED of writing these... ;P
But I guess "who we are" is something that changes almost every day, so I'll try see this as an opportunity to take another look at myself and see if I like what I find - and share this with you.
My name's Jody and I live Brazil where I have been teaching English for a living since 2010.
Creativity is something that I, along with many artists, have a love/hate relationship with:
The sweet love-part is of course having completed anything of which I'm proud, and the process of creation when I know I'm on to something. It's short-lived but intense, like so many other pleasures I'll leave your imagination to...
The hate part is basically ALL THE REST OF THE TIME. The time directly after that sweet time after having finished something... What is next? The creativity beckoning when you're running on zero inspiration. The guilt whenever any significant amount of time goes by without having worked on anything. The knowledge that the poor excuses one feeds oneself (must work after all - need money. / c'mon, you just finished something. / you should really be socialising more. / etc) are just that: poor excuses.
On a different note: I've recently invested into various crypto-currencies and am happy with my gains so far. My initial investment was small so in terms of percentage, I'm very happy, but still nowhere near being what I would call wealthy. I plan on diving deep into this, doing research (as I have been) and sharing all my newly gained knowledge with you all.
Hmm... I just realised that, probably, writing a very long introduction post is not a good idea. So I'll just leave it there for now and if you're interested, you might want to read my Bio page on my site (mandelsage.com) and/or just follow me here.
I'll leave you with a recent picture of me with some of my art:
