i am darker than the darkhorse, you don’t see me coming but I always win. I take one step at a time and live life on my own terms.
Are you intrigued yet?
When I first read this self-description, I sure was.
What could it mean? I thought. Was it a reference to a movie that I didn’t know? Was it a portion of a song’s lyrics, perhaps the chorus? I didn’t have any idea, but I was very curious to know more.
This is , an intriguing Steemian and a person who describes himself as an underdog of underdogs. You see, that’s what a darkhorse is. It’s a horse racing term for an underdog, a race horse that nobody thinks has a chance to win, yet, despite all odds, crosses the finish line first. Being darker than the darkhorse is a reference to the idea of being viewed and thought of as having less of chance at success than even those who are the least likely to succeed.
By being darker than the darkhorse, is saying that he is, or often has been, more overlooked and more underestimated than those who are already thought to have very few chances at being successful in life. However, this disadvantage has never stopped him from overcoming everyone’s expectations and becoming successful.
