Introduction
Hello Steemians!
This blog will be writing about the Genesis Vision (GV) funds management platform and the activity of the JL management account, its programs and funds. In short, GV is a place where investors and managers can get together and help reap profits together while entrusting the security of your hard-earned capital to the blockchain and to smart contracts. As a young project, it already provides exposure to forex, crypto, commodities and equities markets.
For investors, this means you can look at the performance of a manager's program or fund, and know that they are telling the truth, because all trades are recorded on the blockchain in real-time. No more dishonest traders on twitter who only post their winners and none of their losers. With GV, the whole truth is laid bare for all to see. It also means you can now participate in an industry which formerly was restricted only to the very wealthy. Where once you would have needed tens of thousands of dollars to obtain access to such services, now you can start with only a few dollars. Furthermore, you can easily gain exposure across multiple asset classes on the one platform.
For managers, this means you can apply your skills for all to see on the platform, and offer services that formerly have been restricted mostly to the wealthy. No one cares who you are or what your reputation might be in the real world. Only your results matter. You have freedom to execute establish your own strategies and rules. Perform well and you will be rewarded no matter who you are.
Please note that this blog is completely independent of the developers and owners of the GV platform. Any views or opinions represented here are purely those of the blog, and not of GV. It is hoped that this blog will simply be a way to help provide information, news, analysis and interaction between managers and investors on the GV platform.
If you as a visitor to this blog happen to become interested and wish to join the platform as an investor or manager, or perhaps even be so generous as to participate in one of the JL offerings, then you are very welcome to do so.
However, please do your own research before making any financial decisions. This is not a blog providing financial advice; merely opinion, observation and analysis.
If you are interested in investigating the GV platform and its offerings further, see the links below:

Relevant posts from an existing blog will be migrated over to Steemit as well (see: https://jayellgv.wixsite.com/blog). This process might take a couple of weeks or so.
Purpose
The main purpose of this blog is threefold, in order from most to least important:
1. To provide fuller descriptions of funds and programs, particularly their raison d'etre, their general strategy, and a fuller discussion about investor expectations.
The issue is that the GV platform only allows 500 characters for fund descriptions on their website. This might be appropriate to keep the presentation streamlined on their site, but it is very limiting with regard to providing investors adequate information to make informed decisions. Therefore a blog was felt to be necessary in order to provide a platform where fuller disclosures can be made to help increase investor knowledge, boost confidence, and clarify expectations.
2. To provide significant news and updates regarding funds and programs that are less time-bound in nature, and therefore more appropriate to be published in a blog setting rather than on twitter.
This will include items such as opening and closing funds/programs, and announcing significant changes in strategy. Being able to articulate the rationale behind such events will usually require more than the 150 characters that twitter allows.
3. To provide reflections and thoughts on GV asset management, observations and opinions about the GV platform and its offerings, and cryptocurrency markets generally.
From time to time, some commentary on such topics might be appropriate as items of interest worth thinking about and reflecting upon, to help further the education of people in this space.
Thanks for reading, and all the best with your endeavors.
