Over the last few days I have been waiting on some money to be transferred between banks as I got a small tax return and the tax office sent it to an old account which meant, I had no access to it online as the process had changed. I called on Monday and it all went well with a verification and the like, but it also came with a 5€ fee for the privilege of moving my money. Okay, fine - 24 hours later and I will have it in an account I have linked for fiat to crypto. Waiting.
Nothing.
Called back last night and because I was unable to get to the chat program to verify again, they couldn't tell me what the hold up was but assured me that it should be on the way - but due to laws couldn't give any details. Fine. Waiting.
Nothing.
Call back today and found out that the reason it hadn't gone through is... their 5€ fee. Instead of leaving 5€ in there to pay for the transfer, the person sent it all meaning, there was nothing left to cover the transaction cost. It went through tonight and I just sent it over to convert it into some crypto which will hopefully only take 24 hours - for realsies.
But now I am wondering what to buy. Do I get some more Steem when I am already pretty STEEM heavy in my portfolio, do I buy Bitcoin in the hope it will climb up to the moon, do I get a couple Ethereum thinking that when BTC has been overbought it will first drain into there, or do I spread a little across a few alts in the hope that a couple of them will finally see an alt bullrun?
Lately, it has been very difficult for me to trade as I am not one of those set-and-forgetters because, I don't know enough to accurately predict buy and sell points. What I have done in the past is to watch the markets and catch spikes and dips. At the moment though, with so much work to do and so little time, watching the markets enough is near impossible for me so, I am in a near full holding pattern. I am getting smashed by BTC because, I don't have any BTC.
Like many people, I am hoping that one day I am going to be able to earn significantly on any investments into crypto as I believe that eventually it will mostly mainstream, and while not every project will be a success, there will be enough to make it worthwhile. As said, I am very STEEM top-heavy and do not plan on divesting out of Steem but, I also do not want to have too many eggs in the one basket - even though they are all in crypto baskets :D
What I love about Steem is that I have been able to invest into it in many ways and be an active part of my own investment, it is definitely not set-and-forget investing for me. I also love that what I do here has some affect (even minor) on what the future may be because you know, stake is our voice and we are able to put out ideas that could actually and do actually go into development and implementation. Not every idea of course, but some.
I moved out of EOS because, I was just holding it and had no interest in learning about it or being part of whatever community they have. I think I only have the mental capacity for so many communities. While tat might prove a bad decision financially later, I am okay with it and since I moved into it from Steem and then back into Steem, I definitely covered my initial Steem investment several times over.
But this time, I am thinking that I might add a little STEEM only and put more into something else. So, what to buy? I have no idea but it will likely depend what looks good on the day. I am open to suggestions though so, what are you buying into?

It might just be too tempting if Steem keeps dropping....
