A treasured memory is the lasting gift of time well spent. - Tim Fargo
Why are we actually here?
It's due to human intelligence that we don't just focus on survival like other more primitive species do.
We always want to know more about the world that surrounds is, uncover its sources, define its scientific correlations, be able to explain it to ourselves and those we love.
However, in my insignificant opinion there is no higher meaning in life. There's at least not one generic purpose defined for all of us.
For a human mind which constantly strives for sense it's surely hard to accept that.
Yet I can wholeheartedly recommend you to go try.
If there was a higher meaning of life then probably to make it become your life: own it, shape it, make the best of it!
Don't search, live.
We all know those forks in the road that request us to make some critical decisions which may or may not change our future path forever.
There is basically no way to avoid them, they come with the all-inclusive package we're all given when being born into this life.
However, there are different options on how to deal with those nerve-wracking duties.
Many of us wait for the famous sign - that unexpected light sent out by the universe that magically relieves us of needing to choose on our own. In case we recognized having made the wrong decision at a later point in time we could still blame the universe for it.
From my own experience I can tell you that sometimes thinking a little less and living a little more is the very best option.
Most of the time the right way to choose already lies in front of us, we only need to open our eyes and be brave enough to do the next step. No subjunctive. No should've or could've.
And don't ever regret. There was a point in time when you didn't know it any better, and probably that one mistake will even turn out into the luckiest break of your life one day. Who know's?
There's no right or wrong, just this one and only life.
Ultimately, we don't have a mission here. None of us.
Invest in yourself.
Failing is part of the game, even though it's a barrier to those who're not born as true adventurers.
However, the more risks you're willing to assume, the higher the probability of an above-average ROI.
Love of adventure and its degree depend on who you are. Some of us are born with an hunger for adrenaline and may seek the ultimate extreme. To others a little change in routine may even be a great challenge.
Don't ever let others define your own level of risk.
But be conscious of how you spend your time.
Time is your most valuable asset, independently of your wallet.
You can spend that one minute only once, it will never be given back to you, and if you're lucky you'll get some more of them in order to try again.
As I mentioned in the beginning of this post: there is no higher meaning, only the opportunity of life itself. We're all lucky to be born, and the rest is totally up to us.
Remember: It's all about maximizing your own personl ROI in life. Everything else is just pixie dust.
Enjoy!
Much love,
Marly -
