Diversification. That is the key to investing. Ever hear that old saying about all your eggs in one basket? Yeah, don't do that.
I have 3 areas for investments:
Stocks/Bonds
Precious metals
Cryptos
Here is the ratios when I invest:
Stocks/Bonds 1/3
---Blue Chip Stocks (Roll your dividends back in to these stocks! I mainly stick with energy stocks.) 1/2
---Investment Grade Bonds 1/2
Precious Metals
---Physical gold & silver (hold it in your hand. I bought silver in 2006 for around $7 an ounce and sold it off when it went to almost $50 an ounce. Anything under $20 per ounce is a steal.) 1/2
---Goldmoney.com (buy precious metals and they hold them in a vault. With this account you can get an atm card and actually spend it, and if you want to get physical control over them, they'll mail them to you) 1/2
Cryptos
---Bitcoin 10%
---Well known cryptos (Monero, litecoin, etc. Don't be afraid to sell when they go high! Day trading is a good thing!) 70%
---Unknown cryptos (These are the little ones selling for pennies per coin. It's low cost to take a chance, but understand these may disappear overnight!) 20%
So far this strategy is doing well and a helluva lot of fun!
