In this instalment of my iPhone Time Travel series, it's the Autumn of 2013 on the London Underground. I believe this was the Piccadilly Line, around Leicester Square.
I spotted these two men from different generations, each kind of representing their own era. Londoners don't talk to each other on the Tube. We don't even make eye contact mostly. Everyone finds something to do with their eyes, to avoid having to engage with others even though we're often packed solid next to each other in transit.
I wonder if, when this lockdown is over and the underground resumes full service, people would have changed. I wonder if we will make eye contact more, perhaps even talk to each other instead of hide behind phones and newspapers.
Peace & Love,
Adé
