Persia is the old name of Iran. Actually, many ethnic groups live in Iran, not just Persians. So, technically, Iran is a more suitable name for my country.

The official language of Iran is Persian, which belongs to the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European family of languages. The Persian language has no grammatical gender and no noun cases (just a direct object postposition). Verb conjugation is fairly easy. The only hindrance for Westerners learning Persian is the fact that it is written with the Arabic script, which is a little difficult to learn.
Stay tuned. I will post more about the Persian language later.
