فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So which of the blessings of your Lord will you deny?
This verse is not just words,
it is a voice that shakes the hearts of both humans and jinn.
By repeating this verse repeatedly in Surah Ar-Rahman,
Allah Almighty makes us realize
that the world we live in
is full of blessings,
but we often ignore these blessings.
Just think…
If the breath stops for a moment, life stops,
the heart that beats silently day and night,
the eyes that recognize light and colors,
the ears that hear sounds,
the feet that give us the strength to walk,
who is giving all this?
Food, water, sleep, health,
the prayers of parents,
the love of loved ones,
and even those difficult times
that bring us closer to Allah —
all of these are blessings.
Most of us
see only the blessings that we do not have,
and forget to be grateful for what we do have.
However, gratitude increases blessings
and ingratitude takes away blessings.
This verse is not asking us
what Allah has given us,
but rather it is asking
what attitude we have towards what Allah has given us?
Did we become humble after receiving blessings?
Or arrogant?
Did we remain patient in trials?
Or doubtful?
The real success is
that a person
knows his Lord in every situation,
whether it is happiness or a test.
O Allah!
Grant us the ability to recognize Your countless blessings,
and include us among the grateful servants,
and never deprive us of Your mercy. Ameen
