In this series of weekly posts, I am going to reminding us about some good deeds we need to do and bad deeds we must not do. My posts will be based on Sahih (Authentic) and Hasan (Good) hadith. Today's topic is about spending on one's family.
source of hadith
This is a very short hadith but it carries a very important message for us, especially for them who are involved in various kind of charity works. Sometimes, we are so busy taking care of other people in such a way that we often forget our own family and near ones. We are busy collecting funds for our charity works and spending them to the needy persons but we are forgetting that the place of doing charity work is not far, it is in our own house. According to the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), if we spend money or something for our family, it will be considered as a charity work. How easy it is, isn't?
So, now on, we should concentrate on our family first. We can start our charity works from our own home and then we can expand it to the outer world.
