Sandwip, an island under Chittagong district. This island is located on the southeast coast of Bay of Bengal in Bangladesh. . This island, located in the mouth of the river Meghna and it is an ancient island of Bangladesh. The island is blessed by natural beauty. Its amazing charming beauty enhances the crowd of tourists day by day. All the things that is the trees, fields Surrounded with crops, The edge of the water, rumble saltwater of sea, market, Diversity of animal life and plants will be fascinate you. In total this place is extremely beautiful.

You can see the wonderful island from all corners of the north to the south, easily. In the north of the island, you will see a hundred years old Mariam Bibi Sahebani mosque built as like Taj Mahal. There is a large pond and the shrine adjacent with the mosque.
In the south of the island there is a traditional dry Dighi. Besides this there have numerous mosques, schools, madrasas, large playgrounds, crop land etc.
The island gradually started to be small in size by the river and sea erosion. It is known that,in present this area is 80 square miles in size but in the fifteenth century it was about 650 square miles. Then you can understand how fast this amazingly beautiful island is becoming small. In this way maybe we will lose the island once. The island will be disappear in the sea.
