E' passato un pò di tempo dal mio ultimo post...credo che dal titolo e dalla foto abbiate capito il motivo!
Ebbene sì, per i miei primi 40 anni, piuttosto che festeggiare con le solite feste nelle quali si divertono solo gli invitati, ho preferito fare un viaggio in crociera con la mia famiglia...e come meta abbiamo scelto la Grecia e la Croazia, che nè io nè mio marito abbiamo mai visitato.
Che dirvi, una bellissima esperienza che consiglio di fare a tutti prima o poi, avendo il buon senso di prenotarla con largo anticipo e nei mesi meno gettonati, per poter godere di costi più bassi e più tranquillità a bordo...noi abbiamo fatto così.
Vi racconterò di questi giorni di viaggio, delle prime impressioni una volta saliti sulla nave, delle tante attività che vi sono a bordo, tra le quali quella più frequente è ovviamente quella legata al cibo...ed infine vi racconterò delle tante escursioni che abbiamo deciso di fare e delle quali siamo rimasti molto entusiasti.
L'itinerario della Crociera prevedeva:
- Partenza da Venezia
- Arrivo a Bari
- L'isola di Corfù
- Santorini
- Atene
- Dubrovnik
Per ogni luogo abbiamo scelto il tipo di escursione più adatta alle nostre esigenze, avendo con noi il bimbo di 19 mesi.
1° giorno
Arrivati al porto di Venezia verso l'ora di pranzo, ci imbarchiamo subito, ma prima veniamo fermati dal personale di terra della Costa Crociere che ci obbliga a fare la prima foto di famiglia, la Welcome on board, che dietro ad un timone e come sfondo la scia della nave, sembriamo più scemi di quelli che siamo.
Finalmente saliamo a bordo e veniamo accolti dagli stuart in divisa che palmare alla mano ci scattano le foto segnaletiche che guarderanno tutte le volte si lascerà la nave, come segno di riconoscimento.
Il primo impatto arrivati alla hall della nave è davvero incredibile, per le dimensioni, i colori, le luci e la musica che ti colpiscono tutti allo stesso momento.
Davanti a noi una grande hall con 3 ascensori vetrati semi nascosti da una serie di pannelli fotografici di Oliviero Toscani che partono dall'undicesimo piano.
Alla nostra destra in esposizione la Grande Sfera in bronzo di Arnaldo Pomodoro tutta illuminata che ruota lentamente, mentre a sinistra un bancone del bar con i barman che distribuiscono di continuo ed in maniera efficiente le numerose bevande illimitate previste nei pacchetti della Crociera; ai lati una doppia scalinata conduceva ad una balconata superiore che lasciava intravedere vetrine di negozi ed altre meraviglie ancora tutte da scoprire.
Tutto questo a suon di musica del piano bar che accoglie i nuovi arrivati ma che stordisce e fa presagire l'andamento della settimana.
In cabina troviamo oltre ai vari inviti e saluti di circostanza anche il Diario di bordo che consegnato la sera prima per il giorno successivo elenca in 4 pagine in dettaglio il programma del giorno, con tutte le attività che si svolgeranno sulla nave, oltre alle varie indicazioni sulle escursioni o su eventuali esercitazioni, come quello sulla sicurezza prevista per quel pomeriggio alle 16, obbligatorio per tutti.
Ci siamo recati subito al ponte 9 dove vi era il buffet per il pranzo internazionale: inutile elencarvi la quantità di roba che ci siamo trovati davanti..vi erano vari angoli con tutto quello che si può desiderare! Pasta, carne di tutti tipi, insalate, pesce, uova, vi era pure l'angolo degli hamburger, che si potevano creare a piacimento..inoltre erano disseminati dappertutto i distributori di acqua, ghiaccio, bibite analcoliche e birra (la mia preferita).
Ovviamente per ogni cosa vi sono i pro ed i contro, poichè la quantità di gente che si trova di continuo al buffet non è affatto di poco conto: file interminabili e persone lente e indecise erano la nota dolente del pranzo a buffet nonostante il servizio fosse molto veloce...ma per il resto vi era davvero il ben di Dio!
Dopo un breve riposo in cabina e dopo aver partecipato all'esercitazione obbligatoria sulla sicurezza, abbiamo finalmente fatto il giro dei piani della nave, che come potrete vedere dalle foto alla fine del post era poco sobria, a volte al limite del pacchiano per quanto mi riguarda, ma ritengo che faccia parte del gioco, in fondo è quello che ci si aspetta da un tipo di viaggio di questo genere.
Penso di aver scritto abbastanza per oggi, vi lascio con qualche scatto e vi aspetto per il prossimo post con la visita ad Alberobello!!!!

It's been a while since my last post ... I think that from the title and from the photo you have understood the reason!
Yes, for my first 40 years, rather than celebrate with the usual parties in which only the guests are amused, I preferred to take a cruise trip with my family ... and as a destination we chose Greece and Croatia, that neither my husband nor I have ever visited.
What to tell you, a wonderful experience that I recommend to do to everyone sooner or later, having the good sense to book well in advance and in the months less popular, to enjoy lower costs and more tranquility on board ... we have done so .
I will tell you about these days of travel, the first impressions once you get on the ship, the many activities that are on board, among which the most frequent is obviously related to food ... and finally I will tell you about the many excursions we have decided to do and we were very enthusiastic about it.
The itinerary of the cruise provided for:
- Departure from Venice
- Arrival in Bari
- The island of Corfu
- Santorini
- Athens
- Dubrovnik
For each place we have chosen the type of excursion that best suits our needs, having the 19 month old baby with us.
1 day
Arrived at the port of Venice around lunchtime, we embark at once, but first we are stopped by the land crew of Costa Crociere that forces us to make the first family photo, the Welcome on board, which behind a helm and in the background the wake of the ship, we seem more stupid than we are.
Finally we get on board and we are greeted by the stuart in uniform that handheld we take the photos that will watch every time you leave the ship, as a sign of recognition.
The first impact arrived at the hall of the ship is really incredible, due to the size, the colors, the lights and the music that strike you all at the same time.
In front of us is a large hall with 3 semi-hidden glass lifts hidden by a series of photographic panels by Oliviero Toscani that start from the eleventh floor.
On our right there is the bronze The big Sphere of Arnaldo Pomodoro, all lit up, which slowly rotates, while on the left a bar counter with the barmen who continuously and efficiently distribute the numerous unlimited drinks provided in the Cruise packages; on either side a double staircase led to an upper balcony that let glimpse shop windows and other wonders yet to be discovered.
All this to the sound of piano bar music that welcomes newcomers but that stuns and foreshadows the trend of the week.
In addition to the various invitations and greetings of circumstance also the * Logbook* that delivered the night before for the next day lists in 4 pages in detail the program of the day, with all the activities that will take place on the ship, in addition to various indications on the excursions or on any exercises, such as the one on the safety scheduled for that afternoon at 4 pm, mandatory for everyone.
We went immediately to the bridge 9 where there was the buffet for international lunch: needless to list the amount of stuff that we found ourselves in front .. there were various corners with everything you could wish for! Pasta, meat of all kinds, salads, fish, eggs, there was also the corner of the burgers, which could be created at will .. in addition were scattered everywhere distributors of water, ice, soft drinks and beer (my favorite) .
Obviously for everything there are pros and cons, because the amount of people that is constantly at the buffet is not at all unimportant: interminable files and slow and undecided people were the sore point of the buffet lunch despite the service was very fast ... but for the rest there was really the good of God!
After a short rest in the cabin and after participating in the obligatory exercise on safety, we finally made the rounds of the ship, which as you can see from the photos at the end of the post was not sober, sometimes on the edge of the pacchiano as far as I am it's about, but I think it's part of the game, after all it's what is expected of a type of travel of this kind.
